What problems would this solve? =============================== Currently, when you want to save with a revision comment, you have to scroll all the way down to the end of the page. On many of our articles, which can be very long, this takes quite some time and can be quite frustrating. It would be awesome to be able to just hit a key and *boom* be in the comment box. Who would use this? =================== Probably almost all contributors, eventually. What would users see? ===================== No visual change. What would users do? What would happen as a result? =================================================== Pressing a hotkey (maybe something like Cmd-Option-S / Ctrl-Alt-S) would immediately scroll the window to make the revision comment field visible, and give that edit field focus. Is there anything else we should know? ====================================== Then the user can just type their comment and hit the save button. An even better solution would of course be to have this key combination pop up a dialog that lets you enter your comment and save, but just the hotkey would be a huge win over the current scenario. I probably almost literally spend more time scrolling than I do writing, and this would help a lot.
