From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; en-US; rv:0.9.8) Gecko/20020204 BuildID: 2002020417 This page itself never completes loading. I have seen this on other urls like http://www.os2bbs.com/os2news/ Some times it says document done but not all the graphics have loaded. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Just go to the page and try to load it Actual Results: Indicator keeps rolling until you hit stop Expected Results: Worked :-) New problem, worked OK in previous releases. Warp 4 @ FP15 Don't know if it is connected but I had trouble getting the summary field to accept any input

I could 100% reproduce "loading never complete" situation with 0kB disk cache. I don't know my situation is same as reporter's. Procedure to reproduce: 1) Set disk cache 0 and push "Clear Disk Cache". 2) Restart mozilla. 3) Open http://nutshell.dynodns.net:8080/~mozilla/index.html This page includes embeded 260kB png image and connected to the internet through 64kbps line. It will take a minute to complete loading. 4) WHILE THE IMAGE IS LOADING, click mouse r-button on the image and select "Open in New Window". 5) When the page is loaded completely on old window, the image also appear on the new window. But the new window never stop "loading...". I don't have this on win32 (2002020803) but on OS/2 (2002020716). I usually set disk cache 7680kB. However, I met the "loading never complete" situation two or three times since this week. So I believe this is reproducible even if disk cache is not 0, but I don't find the procedure yet.
PASS Tested both URLs. They both load completely, and loading indicator displays the "complete" image("M"). I routinely test with cache set to 0k. http://nutshell.dynodns.net:8080/~mozilla/index.html took about 50-60sec to load. http://www.os2bbs.com/os2news/ loaded in 3 seconds.

rnorberg, is your disk cache size of mozilla 0 actually? today's build (I'm running OS/2-2002021116) does not allow me to change disk cache size via preferences. I try to change it but mozilla keeps original value in any case - except to edit prefs.js by manual. After I modify "browser.cache.disk.capacity" statement in prefs.js to 0, I still have the "never complete" symptom.

Following the instructions in #3 EXACTLY, I get the failure on Windows and OS/2. Note that at first, I didn't see it fail on Windows because Mozilla uses the Quicktime plugin to display the PNG, and the animation stops. for this to work, you must NOT have the quicktime plugin installed in Mozilla 4.x. I'm going to throw this to imagelib because there is probably a notification issue, although it does only happen with 0 cache, so it might be a cache issue.

Internet connection speed for my site where the testcase is on had been upgraded. So if you are using fast internet connection, the step 3 of procedure at #3 takes only a sec. It's bad for the test. I hope tester can use slow connection to investigation the URL, or someone can copy the testcase to more slower site. Thanks,

Whiteboard: dupeme (0 cache size)
Target Milestone: --- → mozilla1.2alpha
I will close nutshell.dynodns.net in near future. Could someone change the URL to http://www.serina.org/~mozilla/index.html because I have no permission to do it. Thanks,

I created a new testcase to slow down the image output: http://www.serina.org/~mozilla/index2.html and took steps of comment 3 with OS/2-2003033112. Then I got - 5')When the page have loaded completely on old window, the image also appear on the new window. 6) The new window continues "loading..." for more 15 sec and then start re-loading the image automatically. 7) The re-loading complete normally. This behaviour sesms a little funny, however, it DOES complete anyway. And, both Win32 and OS/2 milestone 1.3 don't have step 6. I agree to mark this bug as fixed.
