Details
Previously, "back" and "forward" always showed in context menus. Many users (especially laptop users with no "external" mouse) depend on the "back" option when they right click, to minimize mouse movement. And I would add "close" to that list to make it convienient to close temporary pop-up images. When you catalog shop (among other thing), many times the "zoom" feature will pop up a window that is all image and no "file" or URL bar. It would be nice to "close" that window without having to navigate all the way to the window frame. If you are scrolling, your cursor is at the bottom/right. But the "back" button in the URL bar is at the top/right. So for convienience, many users just move the cursor a little to the left, and then "right click" and select "back" from the menu. Your cursor is right there and only needs a minimal movement. Now (see bug 135331) somebody had the idea to remove "back" and "forward" from context menus. And apparently, somebody believes that this "IE" behavior is appropriate because they absolutely refuse to bring "back" and "forward" back. Since some believe it should never show in images, or when a line of text is selected, and some believe it always show, why not make it a user preference. Isn't that what user "preferences" are for???

Ask your distributor that he adds the back/forward. You can also create your own build with back/forward. see also http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135331#c118 The module owner said that he don't add this and he will also not add a pref for this duping against 135331 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 135331 ***

Technically this is a dup of bug #136665, not 135331. But in either case, I've been swayed to the "more preferences are bad; just fix the UI" side, and think that this *shouldn't* be a pref.

I asked for a preference specifically because bug 135331 is marked WONTFIX. So if the UI cant (wont) be fixed to show back/forward in context menus, then it should be an option/preference for the many users who navigate with "back/forward" from a right-click (just like it has always been up until 0.9.9)
