Details

This is with 1.1b on win98, installed from talkback enabled full installer
(mozilla-win32-1.1b-installer.exe).
Sometimes when alt-tabbing back to a mozilla window from another app (or
clicking the mozilla icon in the tasktbar) I find that Ctrl-T to open a new tab
does nothing. Clicking in the main document area fixes it and the shortcut works
again.
I can't reproduce this reliably, but it has happened several times,
unfortunately always when I'm not looking for it and am not sure of what I did
to cause it.
It seems that all keyboard shortcuts are useless after switching to mozilla,
until the main document gets focus: ctrl-B, ctrl-D, shift-ctrl-D, ctrl-W...

I'll update this bug if I figure out the steps to reproduce it.
Duplicate of bug 153681(initial focus for browser window is often not in page)
or bug 141295(focus in content area is erratic (timing?))?

Confirming. I've seen this many times in recent trunk builds, although I haven't
been able to reproduce it reliably either.

Ever confirmed: true
Oh, the OS I've seen it on is Windows 2000 Server SP2.
I haven't been able to reproduce this consistently but I've noticed it on winxp
pro and win2k SP3. I have not noticed it under linux.

From duped bug:

http://kt.zork.net

click on kernel traffic (in top LHS corner, not in middle of screen)
click on same link again
minimise mozilla
reopen
can't use keyboard shortcuts until you click on the window (or use a menu or
something)

I've reproduced this on Win20 2002102208

From duped bug 163216:

100% repeatable is to focus address bar (Ctrl+L or Alt+D), press Tab,
Minimize, Restore, Keyboard doesn't do anything, Click on Address bar or
document area and it works again.

Win2k SP3, rv:1.2b Gecko/20021107

marking w4m --if this is still a problem with recent trunk builds, do reopen
with a specific test case. thanks!
