User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20020826 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20020826 Ok, this is a bug or not but it is anoying... If you are using the quick launch with 1.01 and 1.1 together with Norton Internet Security you will see every time you have closed the last Mozilla window that the quick launch icon disappears for a second and will be back again. Sure this isn't anoying but as soon as the icon appears again the Norton Internet Alert Ticker pops up and says that mozilla is accessing the net again. This dosen't happen with 1.0 of Mozilla. With 1.0 the quick launch icon stays in the task bar after you have closed the last Mozilla window. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Use Qick Lauch and Norton Internet Security 2.Open a Mozilla window 3.Close this window again Actual Results: The Quick Lauch icon hides for a second and is back. As soon as it is back the Norton Alert Ticker pops up with the message that Mozilla is accessing the internet again. Expected Results: It dosent happen with Mozilla 1.0 go back to 1.0

this is duplicate of bug 146340- at least the disappearing icon
i release noted it just the same. 1.0.1 needed QuickLaunch release notes, now it has them :-).
This behavior happens with Norton Personal Firewall as well. The issue is with quicklunch initializing networking lib(s), which in turn generate(s) network activity. From user's perspective, Mozilla's networking component should _not_ generate networking activity unless directed by the user. Could chrome loading be the culprit? I think the same alert appears when one does not use quicklunch and opens first _blank_ Mozilla window.

Ever confirmed: true
For me, this behavior was on W2K with Norton Personal Firewall (NPF) 2002, but not on WinXP with NPF 2003. Was it NPF 2002's fault?
Old versions of Mozilla and Norton. Marking as WFM. Please feel free to reopen if problem persists with current versions of both.
