Cannot delete security certificates from the "Web Sites" tab but I can delete from the "Authorities" tab. This is in Manage Certificates. When I click on delete, it does not do anything. This is version 1.1 final (the only version available is other for me to click on).
I am having the same problem. Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Certificates -> Manage Certificates -> Web Sites. Select a self-signed certificate and click the Delete button, click the "Ok" button in the confirmation dialog, certificate isn't deleted. The behaviour is exactly the same as if I had clicked the "Cancel" button. I even tried exiting mozilla just in case the cert was actually deleted but just wasn't displaying the information correctly. But no, it's still saved.

Could confirm this for Mozilla 1.1 (Windows XP, Linux) Mozilla 1.0.1 (Linux) Mozilla 1.2b (Windows XP) For outdated Mozilla 0.9.8 deleting a "Site-Certificate" works.
I believe this is a serious bug as it is a loss of functionality with no workaround. As I have to test certificate installations I will have to stop using Mozilla 1.1 and Netscape 7. Netscape 4 works and so embarrassingly does, shudder, Internet Exploiter.

I am using Mozilla 1.1 Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020827 on Solaris 8. I am having the same problem. ie: Cannot delete website certificate. The cert in question is a test cert in a test environment...in case that matters.

My company also has netscape 6.2.2 available to me. Mozilla and netscape share my same profile in my home directory. I was able to delete the website cert using netscape. When I went back to mozilla, it was gone.

Confirmed with Netscape 7.0 on Solaris 2.7. Should there be an OK button on the Certificate Manager window perhaps, vice just closing the window when done? Also saw one case where the line wouldn't even visibly delete after OK'ing out of the "Delete CA Certificates" dialog. This was reproducible for this particular profile. But this was a case where I'd copied my migrated 4.7 cert7.db to defaults/profile/US then created a new profile with this, so maybe that doesn't work...

I'm resolving this as WFM because the UI for managing certs has changed quite a bit from the Firefox 2 era, and deleting certs in UI in recent versions of Firefox, SeaMonkey etc seems to work fine. Please file a new bug if you're getting issues on a modern version of Firefox etc.
