170669 - Manually clicking 'Get new messages' duplicates custom headers in filters

Have a custom filter header (eg. 'Reply-to:') and a rule using it. Make sure you
have a message in your POP3 mailbox matching this rule. Click on 'Get new
messages' button, let it get some msgs (including the one matching your rule
with custom header). This way the custom header in the filters is duplicated
(not the rule, but eg. Reply-to:).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have a custom filter header (eg. 'Reply-to:') and a rule using it.
2. Make sure you have a message in your POP3 mailbox matching this rule.
3. Click on 'Get new messages' button, let it get some msgs (including the one
matching your rule with custom header).
4. Check Tools / Message filters / New / Subject. You should see duplicated
custom headers.
Actual Results:  
Found duplicated custom headers.

Expected Results:  
Should not duplicate the custom headers.

Hi, at the moment I'm using
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030111
and I have reported bug http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=187147 :
Summary: Filtered messages appear twice (identical ID) in the                  
  destination folder and in the filter log

Maybe there is some relation between bug 170669 and 187147 (I'm using IMAP
instead of POP3).

When I start Mozilla mail and use "Read messages" from the imap accounts main
page, then all filtered messages ("move to folder") appear twice in the
destination folder.

When I start Mozilla mail and use the "Get Msgs" button (from the toolbars
section) instead, then filtering works o.k.

For my part this is a reproducible behaviour since
mozilla-win32-installer-sea.exe version 1.3b 2002/12/22.

does anyone still experience this bug?  it seems to have been fixed for me in
recent linux builds.  recommend marking this bug resolved-worksforme...
