When you open a new tab, either by <ctrl + T> or File --> New Tab, the URL bar
for the new tab has "about:blank" that won't go away. It used to be plain blank.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Firebird.
2. Open a new tab, either by <ctrl + T> or File --> New Tab.


Actual Results:  
The new tab has "about:blank" in the URL bar.

Expected Results:  
The URL bar should be blank.

Having "about:blank" is annoying because I need an extra step (<ctrl + U> or
<ctrl + L>) to get rid of it before starting to type the URL. I hope this will
be reverted to the old behaviour.

Confirming, taking QA and adding some good triagers to the list who will
probably end up on it anyway. Even though I agree this is minor in that
workarounds are present, it is still a major PITA.

Is this present in Windows builds?

I'm seeing it on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b)
Gecko/20030811 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1+ too.

Note that the URIbar is empty (in any tabs) if you load Firebird with an empty
page and open some tabs. It begins to show about:blank in the empty tabs when a
page is loaded.

On Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030813 Mozilla
Firebird/0.6.1+, new tabs are showing up with the URL bar completely blank.

In my opinion, the bar being blank is the best behavior, ("about:blank" seemed
pointless).

The fix is working... I don't see it anymore with the 2003-08-14 build (Linux).
