Details

Go to this page, click "New User" (top left) and then the set Up button. A
permission window comes up, byt the applet apperently does not install. The
bottom bar says "Applet npatjava notinited"

it died on my win2k laptop too. The console shows

JRE1.4.2 will use this registry key to find Mozilla and it will not work without

It is still not working with 1.4.1_01 jdk. It never even put up the security window

A Sun internal bug has been logged for this issue. The bugid is 4965959.
After further investigation, I found that this is a user's mistake. From the
stack trace, we can see that the user's code throw some exception which results
the applet fail to load.
Status: NEW → RESOLVED

It works in Internet Explorer.

I hope you didn't mean my code, because I did not write any. This is a big
commercial site.
