Summary: Previous history search results remain in history window but search text does not (after closing) → After closing history sidebar, search results remain (but search text does not)
This also works on Firebird 0.7 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7). It works even when browser is closed and opened again. I guess that there are two solvation for this: 1. Clear search button (as in Thunderbird) 2. After some time of inactivity (not clicking on history search results) history should revert to it's previous state

I suggest to show the whole histoty after re-opening history bar. This behaviour would be consistent with the bookmarks bar.
It looks like it cannot be reproduced in the Firefox nightly of 2004-06-23 anymore. Has this bug already been fixed?

This seems to be fixed in FF0.9, resolving as WFM per comment 7 and comment 8.
