Like bug 244025 we might want to investigate coloring the URL bar when the user name and password are part of the URL. user:password@somesite.com Coloring the URL bar for this situation could replace the message box that pops-up each time you login to a site in this manner. We could use a one time message like the pop-up blocker to inform users about this feature. As for the color I would lean towards red hue.
OS: Windows XP → All
Hardware: PC → All
I am going to wontfix this, un/pw are hidden by default in the address bar now.
