This is from bug 11202 and was originall reported by hoju@visi.com: **************************** I've found another situation where resizing causes paint problems that I don't think has been addressed here. using Win32 build: 2000031008 Steps to reproduce: 1. go to http://www.syntegra.com 2. drag the right bottom corner of the browser to the left so that the horizontal space shrinks. Do this until you see a scrollbar. 3. grab the scrollbar and scroll it to the right (any distance, but try moving it all the way to the right the first time). 4. Now go back to the bottom right corner and drag the window so that the horizontal space gets bigger. 5. You should now see a white area at the right side of the window. The width of the white space seems to correspond to how far the scrollbar was scrolled to the right. The window just isn't being repainted until you either refresh or you repeat step 2 Jake **************************** I tested this in viewer using example 0 (any page will do). Simply resize the window horizontally so small that a horizontal scrollbar is needed. Scroll all the way to the right. Expand the window so the horizontal scrollbar is no longer needed. With GFX scrollbars, the page is offset to the left. Without GFX scrollbars, things look ok.

Sorry, but this is not even close to resolved fixed. What build are you testing? I am testing with the non-Netscape beta build 2000032108 build. Did you even look at this? It is quite apparent, at least on Win32, that exactly the same thing I just reported is still happening. I can't seem to change "leave as Resolved Fixed" status, so I'll just post this message, but please don't leave things like this. Jake

good job! However, there now seems to be another quirk. When you look at the testcase and pull the right side of the browser really far to the left, you lose the right side arrow for the horizontal scrollbar and the scrollbar ceases to get smaller to fit in the space provided. Should that be part of this bug or is that something unrelated? Jake
