Whenever I try to connect to any https site I get a dialog box with the warnings
about requesting a secure document, info being encrypted, etc, etc, and
inmediately after a dialog box pops up with the message "The connection was
refused when attempting to contact <site name>"
I've had this problem before. The reason for this is that you don't have the PSM
(Netscape Personal Security manager) installed. From the Mozilla menu select
Debug | Install PSM then click the box to install the PSM for Linux (scroll down
the page until you see two buttons one for windows and then one for Linux below
it - although you may want to read that page for further information).

The reason that you have to download the PSM separately is that (with the
exception of Talkback which you can choose not to use a talkback tarball)
everything in the nightly builds is open source. Until the RSA patent expires
they can't make the PSM fully open source and part of the Mozilla build.

If after installing the PSM you have any problems please report them here under
the Security: Crypto category. The bug writing guidlines are also recommended
reading (link in the QA menu).

I'm marking this bug invalid.
