Sorry, a first report is incorrect.
When `GOTHIC' font is selected, a vertical font is always used.
A element type has no relation.

My environment:
WarpV4.0 + xrjm014(japanese fixpak14).
In `system' - fonts properties, `font association' is enabled.
and `bitmap font association' is disabled.

Not fixed.
In 0.9.4 and latest nightly build(20011009),
though GOTHIC font is selected, mozilla uses another horizontal font.
and part of a page is not displayed.

I have this bug since Warpzilla 0.9.8 (on MCP2).
Mincho fix for bug 108280 seems to be a trigger for me.
However, some other guys have had this since a long time age.
This bug doesn't appear to all people, but obviously exists.

I will attach screen shot later.

Only "MINCHO" and "GOTHIC" have capability of turning into vertical.
Attributed fonts like "MINCHO System" or "GOTHIC Proportional" never turn.
I imagine there is some unexpected path in the code if specified font is
DBCS font and have same name for both font-face and font-family.
Therefore, Warpzilla have used another font in same family actually.
And if the font happens to be vertical one as "@MINCHO HeiseiMincho",
we notice the symptom.

P.S. Is there a way to know which font is used actually?
