Details
Unfortunately, both classic and modern skins are performing very bad compared to others. With an open Mailnews window showing a newsgroup in threaded view (n.p.m.l10n), Mozilla needs 3-4 seconds to repaint the whole window (changing from a different desktop to Mozilla) with Classic or Modern skins, while the same window needs only up to 1 second with Blue skin (or blue-based skins like EarlyBlue or LCARStrek) on my system. This is build 2000-01-24-00 (gcc 2.95.2) on SuSE 7.0 Linux 2.4.0 with KDE2 on a PII-400/192MB RAM system.
