Using jun8 builds on linux rh5.2, mac OS 8.51 and NT 4.0

The message pane & header pane contents don't clear appropriately when doing
such commands as delete message, selecting or collapsing the server folder,
selecting an empty folder, switching to empty message view, etc.

This has been around since day one, but it's really annoying me so I'll finally
log a bug -- I didn't see one already logged.

1.  Launch to messenger.
2.  Open a folder or newsgroup.
3.  Select a message and let contents display in the thread pane.
4.  Select a different and empty folder.
Result:  message contents still displayed in message/header pane(s).
