when opening mozilla 0.9.3 and having jaws 3.1 running no speech is synthesised
to describe options.

--

It should also be noted that profiles should be optional, my clients have
learning difficulties, cannot read, and thus are prevented from using this
browser, as they could not select a profile unaided.

they can click on 'home' which when set suitably enables them to have great fun
on the web.
aka 'mozilla profile manager'
Summary: profile does not work in jaws 3.1 → profile does not work in jaws 3.31
typo should read: jaws 3.31

when opening mozilla 0.9.3 and having jaws 3.1 running no speech is synthesised
to describe options.

also add:
this will prevent blind users from selecting a suitable profile, and probably
even running mozilla.
Summary: profile does not work in jaws 3.31 → mozilla profile manager does not synthesise speech in jaws 3.31
-P is apparently a workaround in unix
is there one for windows?
cc: aaronl as this seems to be an accessibility issue

I assume you mean a way to automatically open with a cetain profile and to
bypass the profile manager. It is the same on both linux and win32, mozilla -P
profilename
(http://www.mozilla.org/quality/browser/front-end/testcases/cmd-line/profile.html)

Plain and simple, the entire client is not accessible yet.

That is why we will be working to add MSAA support.
