FWIW I can confirm that Firefox (I only use Firefox Nightly) appears in the macOS list of apps with high energy impact again and the fans were unusually often loud the last few days.

Could be a reason. I did a macOS update a few days ago. I'll have to test with older versions of Firefox on the weekend to see if it also happens with these old versions.
I don't have any numbers but I can provide on the weekend.

Could be a reason. I did a macOS update a few days ago (from a Catalina Beta to the latest stable release). I'll have to test with older versions of Firefox on the weekend to see if it also happens with these old versions.
I don't have any numbers but I can provide numbers on the weekend and specs of my MacBook later today. I am not playing youtube videos fullscreen, only in the regular size.
