I'll try and get the logcat later today. The command is `adb root` on a Sony Xperia Z5 Compact (E5823) (original Sony firmware for Android 7.1.1). The device stops enumerating on the USB port entirely, so I'll need to grab the logcat locally from device (any tips here? I'm sure I can find a little app to help me..).

(These devices suffer from jit-bug Bug 1461724 which we've struggled to isolate)

Edit: I should add that the adb server is running on Win10 and I can trigger issue in just powershell by running `adb root`.
