Adjusting OS per comment 7 (and also confirmed by myself); this is also seen on Windows. I believe that Alta88's analysis of comment 2 is mostly correct: Just opening one dialog per attachment *sequentially* as we used to do (instead of opening all of them at once, which doesn't scale and behave well) will solve this annoying bug.
