Steps to reproduce 1. Keep using firefox for months on ArchLinux. Current version 68. 2. Get datareporting/archived folder to be very large 3. Start Firefox (firefox window appears immediately) 4. Try loading mozilla.org or wait for previous session's tab to open 5. Keep waiting for it to load any page for minutes 6. After a few minutes, pages start loading 7. Then, you can browse normally. What should have been Steps 5 & 6 should not have been. How do I know it is the datareporting/archived folder that is the culprit? Well, I saw it mentioned here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1229621#answer-1159980 And then, I tried deleting it. And suddenly the slow startup is gone! How does my datareporting/archived folder look like: $tree datareporting/archived datareporting/archived ├── 2019-06 │ ├── 1559355385659.8af44b18-326e-43fc-8aeb-08f14ace9e2d.main.jsonlz4 │ ├── 1559477593911.d832fa2a-7df6-4412-8a28-bff0ddcc1c2a.health.jsonlz4 | ........... └── 2019-07 ├── 1561919400021.539cd2ff-d45a-4944-852a-70e6adfdf1aa.main.jsonlz4 ├── 1561950829885.203b2732-2b87-4dd3-8dbd-ed56cf81e864.main.jsonlz4 .................. 2 directories, 396 files Can I provide my firefox profile folder that reproduces this bug?
