## Brief Description of the request (required): Project Fission is critical to the health and success of Firefox. Project Fission represents the implementation of Firefox's Site/Origin Isolation i.e. process-isolation-per-site. This is a required protection against attacks like Spectre, which proved how a site's potentially-private data could be read by another site as they share the same process's memory space. This is one of the most critical projects that Firefox is working on. We need a dashboard to track the rollout and alert us to problems in the field.

See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=Fission for details on the work being done. Neha is the engineering manager. Andrew Overholt and I are the directors championing the work. (You can reach out to any of us for more info.)

## Business purpose for this request (required): It's critical to the health and security of Firefox

## Requested timelines for the request or how this fits into roadmaps or critical decisions (required): We must have a dashboard (and associated telemetry) in place before we roll out to any part of the Nightly population, which is unlikely to happen before the end of this year. We would like a dashboard to be in place within the next 4 to 6 weeks.

## Links to any assets (e.g Start of a PHD, BRD; any document that helps describe the project): https://mana.mozilla.org/wiki/display/~nkochar@mozilla.com/Project+Fission is a good starting point. Also, https://wiki.mozilla.org/Project_Fission. Neha, Andrew Overholt, and I can help provide more documentation.

## Name of Data Scientist (If Applicable): None has been assigned yet, but the project needs one. This work will be similar to the work we did to roll out WebRender MVP. Tim Smith was the Data Scientist for that project, and he would be an ideal fit for this one.
