Seems like bug 1609059 was partially addressed. The `My alerts` checkbox's display mechanism works correctly when force refreshing `Alerts view` in list mode or detailed mode. But when the user is switching between list mode & detailed mode, the display mechanism doesn't work as expected anymore. Seems like a state variable isn't correctly updating.
