You can add a boolean pref browser.fixup.domainwhitelist.go set to true.

You can add a boolean pref browser.fixup.domainwhitelist.go set to true in about:config.
If you are in an enterprise with  a private DNS server, you can also use browser.fixup.dns_first_for_single_words = true, and we'll always go through the dns.
