User is attempting to create an auto delete for messages that have a date in the future.
Emails are in the Spam / Junk folder.
Spam / Junk can be set to auto delete junk mail older than 1 day in Junk Settings.
But this will not delete spam that has been given a date 10 years in the future.

I presume Message Filters can auto work on new mail in Inbox to detect 'age in Days' is greater than eg: -1000 to detect dates in the future.
But is no good if the server has already put the message into the 'Spam' folder as often occurs with Imap accounts.

So User then tries to set 'Retention Policy' on 'Spam/Junk' folder.
Folder Properties > Retention Policy
'Delete messages more than x days old'
The number is controlled by selecting arrows and the lowest number is 1.

However, it is possible to manually enter a negative number eg: -3
After clicking on OK and reopening, the -3 has changed to display 4294967, although that is only partial of actual number 4294967297.
It is also not what is desired.

User should not be able to enter a manual 'negative' number , so I would regard that as a bug - maybe this should be mentioned separately.

Can we have a modification in Options/Preferences > 'Junk Settings' to cope with this issue?
Maybe the Junk Setting needs an additional settings
eg: 'Empty/Delete every X days' and/or 'Empty/Delete on exit'

I would like to see an enhancement in this area to cope with this more recent problem regarding the date of spam.

Maybe the Junk Setting needs an additional settings so it is not dependent nor related to the date of email itself.
eg: 'Empty/Delete every X days' and/or 'Empty/Delete on exit'

I would like to see an enhancement in this area to cope with this more recent problem regarding the date of spam.
