### Preconditions
In about:config set:
browser.proton.enabled = true
browser.proton.tabs.enabled = true
browser.proton.places-tooltip.enabled = true

### Affected versions
Firefox 89.0a1 

### Affected platforms
MacOS 10.15

### Steps to reproduce
1. Open Firefox.
2. Go to youtube.com and play any video.
3. Click on Picture-In-Picture.
4. Observe the tab.
5. Click on to Mute/pause the tab from Picture-In-Picture
6. Observe the tab.

### Expected result
"Picture-In-Picture" in the tab media controller shouldn't flicker after muting/pausing the video.

### Actual Result
"Picture-In-Picture" in the tab media controller flickers after muting/pausing the video.
