In the 2nd log (where a successful save to SENT finally occus) it does appear the tb makes several failed attempt to connect to the server before the successful attempt works and the message is appended to SENT mailbox.

If you select Inbox and shutdown tb and then restart and remain on Inbox and then compose messages to yourself and send them, do you see problems sending several messages? I don't know how often you see the "save to sent" problem but what I'm suggesting is that your server is seeing too many connections and rejecting the attempt to save to sent mailbox. If you just stay on Inbox and don't visit other folders, there will be 3 connections maximum probably, one to inbox, one to drafts when a draft is saved and one to Sent when the message is saved to sent.

Another way to cause fewer server connection is to temporarily turn off the drafts auto-save feature under General/Composition. The will prevent tb from making the save to drafts connection.

If the above works and you don't see failure to save to sent, you might try reducing the number of "cached connections" in advanced server setting down from default of 5 to 4. This will force tb to reuse an existing connection instead of opening a new 5th one. So I'm thinking maybe the server will accept 4 connections but doesn't like a 5th one.

If you can try the above experiments and let us know if it helps, hurts or makes no difference, it would be good to know.
Thanks.
