Then before, probably you got a dialog box asking whether to save or open the file? Either that or somehow your preferences for PDFs got changed - you can change them back to "save to disk" and then you get the behaviour you want. The current setting ("Open in Firefox") is the default.

Either that or somehow your preferences for PDFs got changed - you can change them back to "save to disk" and then you get the behaviour you want.
