Yeah, we stopped overwriting `.json` in bug 1684183. I don't know why that patchset would have caused us to start doing so again.

Yeah, we stopped overwriting `.json` in bug 1684183. I don't know why that patchset would have caused us to start doing so again, but I somewhat doubt it's intentional.
