We've received a similar report in https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/127654 where a user is experiencing freezing when watching broadcasts on Twitch in 720p or 1080p with 60fps. I can't reproduce the issue myself, but here is a description from the reporter:

> If you enable video in 720p or 1080p quality, the memory consumption is not that high. It's in the range of 230-243 MB. And also the freezes that are seen in 1080p 60fps quality disappear. If I turn on a video or broadcast in 1080p 60fps, the memory consumption rises to 299-305 MB and the freezes appear. CPU utilization constantly fluctuates, sometimes it reaches 80% and drops to 45%. CPU load is very unstable when playing 1080p 60fps video.
When playing video in 1080 or 720p , then CPU load is 30-40% and more stable.

Also observed the following behaviour as could be seen [in a comment with this screen recording](https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/127654#issuecomment-1743299025):
> The video was playing at first, but then at some point it froze and there was only sound, but the video picture itself remained static.
