I have been using Thunderbird beta for some years, and for recent 104.0bx beta series the shutdown takes a few seconds before the UI closes. For 105.0b1 and 105.0b2 it is perhaps 8 or 9 seconds, and although it does shut down, the additional time is rather frustrating when you are used to only 2 to 3 seconds (at least on the machines I have it running on). Are you suggesting that increase in shutdown time is to be accepted, for normal use, so that there is more information during shutdown hangs, but in normal use, the additional delay will remain, but presumably then be removed when thunderbird moves from beta to the next release? Or is there a way to turn the additional processing involved (perhaps via a parameter change in the config editor)?
