I was not able to reproduce this issue on Ubuntu 22.04 and 18.04.3 using the latest Firefox versions. The RSS file from this link https://areweanticheatyet.com/feed.rss was successfully downloaded on my machine(only one file downloaded). Testing in troubleshoot mode could help.
