This ux-mode-error could even end up as dataloss. Select five threads first, then press Ctrl+A. Get interrupted by the postman. Return and look at the preview, which (due to this bug) still claims "5 conversations". Delete. Boom - all conversations gone! But wait a minute, didn't it say I had only selected five?
