This bug is mainly about ChromeOS and the running Thunderbird inside the developer environment, which is a special kind of Linux with a weird window manager, which breaks Thunderbird. Currently we have no resources to fix this. If you encounter this bug on a vanilla Gentoo (not on a ChromeOS), could you please try Comment #10?
