As mentioned on your other bug, we'll restore an option for the tabular format in Vertical View in Bug 1823019. However, I would agree with reporter that we should explore returning some or all of those direct action controls also to card's mode, probably optionally. This allows some high-efficiency mail handling without having to open each message first. `Junk` would seem as the most likely candidate, but `Read status` and `Delete` are useful, too.
