We have documentation though, [here](https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-background-updates-firefox-windows). I do see that step 3 is phrased a little oddly to suggest that you need to change a setting to what is already its default value, which is a tad odd. But other than that, it seems like we already have exactly what you are describing.

If they fulfill all the requirements but the task isn't being created, that sounds like a bug that we should definitely fix. But this report is the first I've heard of it.

Maybe we should be more explicit that if that is already the setting, you just have to run Firefox and let it do its thing?
