This capability was disabled intentionally in bug 1857254 to avoid the redundant camera icon in the macOS menu bar. It can be re-enabled by setting `privacy.webrtc.showIndicatorsOnMacos14AndAbove`.

If there are serious concerns with the default behaviour, we can perhaps discuss that here.
