How to test:

1. In the current Firefox window, nagivate to about:profiles and find "This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted.". Remember the name of the profile.
2. Open the treeherder link and select the right platform for you (Click B next to the matching platform)
3. In "Artifacts and Debugging Tools", download the binary. The file name is different for each platform:
   * For Linux it's target.tar.bz2.
   * For macOS it's target.dmg.
   * For Windows it's target.zip.
4. Unzip the file and run the application.
5. Again in about:profiles, select the profile you found in step 1 and click "Launch profile in new browser".
6. Use it for a while (or let it run in the background about 1 hour) and see if you still get repeated notifications after that.

Note that you should not open the main Firefox while doing this, so please do this only when you have free time.
