The toolkit (for lack of an up to date term) has made several requirements for applications to provide. This is largely in terms of app-side language files the toolkit expects to be provided as well as core Firefox technology like CustomizableUI being a dependency for some toolkit components and devtools. Also a few mass-changes for toolkit changes such as getting rid of global.dtd and setting all xul/xhtml dir attributes to hardcoded ltr. I don't intend to explicitly fix any frontend code in this bug except as a consequence of fixing the low hanging fruit imposed by the toolkit.
