Does this issue only happen on RHEL 9.4? According to the crash reports, we can see other distro as well. Solution 1 doesn't work since firefox is not able to reach about:config. Users have to change prefs.js manually. We probably want to detect this case and override the value of widget.dmabuf.enabled if possible since this issue is already on the top crash list. When people run into this issue, they probably just turn away to user other browsers.
