I believe issue are still present I will test in recent beta and report back few patches have been pushed recently in other bug reports (jank related and number of network requests related) which may have improved the performance. Seems to be working ok in TB beta 135.0b2 (64-bit) I tested with multiple CalDav calendars one of them having 4000+ items, with various combination... with/without offline support, event in next 7 days/current view/All events... In all cases Thunderbird interface remain accessible... A bit lagging at time but it works... CPU usage remain between 30-40%. It looks like quite q progress from past experience. Though I did not have any email account setup during testing and I notice when choosing All Events, some event appears with strange years like 2111, etc... For those recurring events without end-date !!! But that did not seem to cause any major issues.
