I finally had time to test once again this backout, sorry for the delay.

I created a new O365 account and enable MFA, and I encountered 2 different scenarios in which one works and one doesn't.

1. Thunderbird is unable to connect via IMAP as it doesn't prompt me with any dialog for MFA and it returns an error message saying that my credentials could be incorrect.
2. If I had previously logged into my O365 account via the browser, and confirmed to "Trust this device" during the MFA step, then I'm able to set up the account in Thunderbird, and I can log in without any further step or MFA request.

I haven't changed any setting in my O365 account other than enabling MFA.
These issues don't happen when using the test account and the localhost configuration in Comment 70
