I'm always using the TB release version with my working profile and test the beta and Daily versions in dedicated profiles. Since I'm not using desktop shortcuts to open the different versions, launching any versions will open the Thunderbird profile manager in which I manually select the adequate profile. So in my installation Daily 67 or Thunderbird 67 did not create new profiles since they continued to use the same dedicated profiles which had already been used by the previous betas and Daily. But I noticed that now when I start Thunderbird 67 or Daily 68, the profile manager opens and automatically selects the "dedicated" profile. I also noticed that a new file named installs.ini has been created in the Thunderbird folder.
