the domain name multiprecision.org does not resolve (at the time of writing). this causes [build failures](https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=autoland&resultStatus=pending%2Crunning%2Csuccess%2Ctestfailed%2Cbusted%2Cexception&fromchange=4730635520c69050e623c240989454107ad069f5&searchStr=9e39078911ce58ef02b5df2924f8e0dd1c0e375e) when a [fetch against an mpc binary](https://dxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/8b8ce4612836d14a658c8c86763cd53a81c54372/taskcluster/ci/fetch/toolchains.yml#139-165) is attempted.

i have today emailed the [mpc mailing list](https://lists.gforge.inria.fr/pipermail/mpc-discuss/) asking if there are plans to correct the domain resolution.

if not, i have seen that the mpc binaries referenced by our source code are also available from (with matching sha256 sums):
- https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+sourcefiles/mpclib/0.8.2-1build1/mpclib_0.8.2.orig.tar.gz
