**Steps to reproduce**
1. Launch Firefox beta.
2. Open a private browsing window.
3. Click inside the websearch bar (middle of the window).
4. Start typing something.

**Expected result**
* A drop-down with search suggestions is opened beneath the websearch bar.

**Actual result**
* The search is handed off to the awesome bar (address bar).

**Regression range**
* This is not a regression, as I could reproduce the issue all the way back to Fx67.0b3 when the websearch was introduced in Private Browsing.

**Additional notes**
* The "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar" is set to false by default in beta builds.
* Websearch is not handed off to awesomebar in normal browsing windows.
