With https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1693550 , about:welcome uses only multistage template to run experiments. Scope of this bug is to brainstorm with nimbus engineering and add new type say 'proton' in JSON which when set will using existing screens schema to render content inside new multistage proton template.
