FWIW, I run with a command line like this: ```MOZ_LOG_TB=MsgDB:5,timestamp,sync MOZ_LOG_FILE_TB=~/tblog ../obj-x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/dist/bin/thunderbird --allow-downgrade -p```
so I can move to an different TB version without creating a new profile (--allow-downgrade) and show the profile selection/creation prompt on startup (-p) and to log the message DB commands (MsgDB:5). Probably no need to log with IMAP:5 for your testing purposes of this bug.
