Details

I have been using multiple POP accounts on Netscape 6.1 and 6.2 without any
problems. When I added an IMAP SSL account, Netscape 6 no longer stays up more
than 48 hours.

Easiest way to reproduce. Set up you netscape mail to read from both pop and
IMAP SSL. Run for about a week. You will find that your mail client will hang or
crash about 3-5 times.
Did you file some talk back reports when you crashed?

I only found one under your name and it was on 9/17:

nsMsgDatabase::GetThreadForSubject
[d:\builds\seamonkey\mozilla\mailnews\db\msgdb\src\nsMsgDatabase.cpp, line 3186]
nsMsgDatabase::ThreadNewHdr
[d:\builds\seamonkey\mozilla\mailnews\db\msgdb\src\nsMsgDatabase.cpp, line 3247]
nsMsgDatabase::AddNewHdrToDB
[d:\builds\seamonkey\mozilla\mailnews\db\msgdb\src\nsMsgDatabase.cpp, line 2569]
nsMsgMailboxParser::PublishMsgHeader

nsMsgLineBuffer::BufferInput

nsMsgMailboxParser::ProcessMailboxInputStream

nsMsgMailboxParser::OnDataAvailable

nsMailboxProtocol::ReadFolderResponse

Just following up on mscott's question. Robert, is this still happening to you,
and if you are crashing, could you file talkback reports so that we can collect
some data?
It got so bad I had turned IMAP off. Many of my mail folders took a long time to
access until I moved some mail messages out of them and recompressed. I'll turn
IMAP back on and see if I still have the problem.

What build should I be using?

bob
any of the recent builds would be great.

I don't see the problem in Netscape 7.x
