Hi Kate,

There are a couple of places I know people are going to get confused in the testing process. Please please please!!! forgive me for being so pedantic. I understand if not all of these changes can be made.

1. the use of IRC for contact will alienate most or all of our community folks and many Hive staff too. Can we get an email for support? badgeshelp@mozillafoundation.org

2. Add instructions described in this bug: 1016610

3. The instructions in the blog post state:
"You must first have a Webmaker Super Mentor badge or be an administrator. To issue the Hive Community Member badge, make sure you are signed in to Persona. Click the “Issue badge” button on that page."

A small tweak to improve clarify for noobs is to make sure to discriminate between the Persona sign-in pop-up and the badge description pages. I can see people looking for "Issue Badge" next to their sign in or something. Likewise, a word about where on the page this should appear.

4. This is slightly confusing:
"You must first have a Webmaker Super Mentor badge or be an administrator. To issue the Hive Community Member badge, make sure you are signed in to Persona. Click the “Issue badge” button on that page."

Are you saying that the Hive Community Member badge is the *only* badge that can be issued by Super Mentors right now? I'd state that explicitly.

5. The blog states: "2) Click on the +[number] button to see all badge applications" and is accompanied by a screen grab of the applications dropdown and the +24 box...

When I do this I don't see the +# box. When I click on pending, there's nothing there. That might just be cause nobody has applied yet. A touch more clarity here would be helpful.
Hey Robert. I'll take this one. I wrote the post on the Webmaker blog, making some changes to Kate's original draft. So I'll update this on the Webmaker blog. Here's what I think you're saying we need:

1. Better contact instructions
* Let's just use "matt@mozillafoundation.org" for this -- easier than setting up a separate support channel just for badges.
* I can pass along help requests or file bugs accordingly

2. Add instructions described in this bug: 1016610
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1016610
* Robert I have a question for you there -- can you update that ticket?

3. Persona sign-in
I'm not sure where / how to write this based on what you said.
Can you draft some text?

4. This is slightly confusing:
Are you saying that the Hive Community Member badge is the *only* badge that can be issued by Super Mentors right now?
* Yes, for now. But we do say that this will change this summer.

5. "Click on the +[number] button to see all badge applications"
When I do this I don't see the +# box. When I click on pending, there's nothing there. That might just be cause nobody has applied yet.

Yes, it's cuz no one applied yet.

Robert: here's a suggestion:

Can you just update the blog post based on your feedback? That's probably the most direct way to make sure it works for your purposes.

You can update the HTML here:
https://thimble.webmaker.org/en-US/project/57373/edit

Or just log in to the Webmaker blog and make edits directly to the post:
https://blog.webmaker.org/wp-admin/post.php?post=11379&action=edit

* Robert's working on this
Matt, I made edits to the Thimble:
https://omnignorant.makes.org/thimble/MTM3MzcwMDA5Ng==/57373

Blog updated as well:
https://blog.webmaker.org/test-badges

1. I'm only going to share your email with people internally, not on the blog post.
2. This issue seems to have been resolved.
3 & 4. I added some more language to clear this up.
5. OK, but now I'm thinking that I might not be an admin on BadgeKit... I'll ask Cade to confirm.
