1. Yes, like bug 875487. 2. named to places.ico is effective in Fx30. Based on window name, use "Dom Inspector" to inspect. 3. The Downloads window is gone in Firefox 26, what do you mean? Ref: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Window_icons https://support.mozilla.org/zh-CN/questions/980806

Hi Yang, places was usefull for bookmarks.. But what firefox coders added to modify to previous download window was more invasive & useless than anything & i like a clean & targeted downloads window .. . that's why i'm using "downloads window 0.4.5". Do you know which icon name will i should you for that download window ?

named to "downloadsWindow.ico" works for that case. By use the "Dom Inspector" - File menu - Inspect Chrome Document - select, check the window id at top.

have you used dom inspector for "downloadsWindow.ico" ? i tried that name & it's not applied to th downloads window..
Yes, I tried named and placed to "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\browser\chrome\icons\default\downloadsWindow.ico" in Fx30 with https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/downloads-window/, it applied, no restart, for new downloads window.

lol,i'm on ff29.0.1 but fx30 isn't stable, is it ?
Double check on Fx29, put at "Firefox Setup 29.0\core\browser\chrome\icons\default\downloadsWindow.ico", works fine with the extension. I guess you did something wrong, or unknown problems. p.s. Yes, just I am a user of beta channel daily.

"Firefox Setup29.0\core\" & "core" folder doesn't make sense to me. But previously, you had given me this: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox (as the firefox setup folder)\browser\chrome\icons\default\downloadsWindow.ico" which makes sense. So nothing changed there.. & considering i followed a simple instruction of changing icon names: -main-window.ico appears -places.ico for bookmarks appears -downloadsWindow.ico doesn't appear on the browser's downloads window with the addon. wha i did wrong: nothing. unless it works for ff30 & not 29.0.1, but i'd rather wait before engaging myself in more beta releases downsides..
